“In their beautiful silence, the master works of the past beckon to us: shrouded in allegory and symbol, they speak without words.

As we stand before them, awed, we know that they are telling the truth”

“Drawing from the delicate craftsmanship of the classical European painting tradition, I intend to meticulously weave together elements from the past and present:

My fascination with archetypes lies in their potential to transcend superficial barriers - timeless figures, stories and landscapes that inspire, connect and unite us in common human experiences.”

My quest…

…for discovering the methods of the Old Masters led me to invest three years in an intensive, rigorous and challenging classical atelier training at the renowned Florence Academy of Art, situated in the city known as ‘the cradle of the Renaissance’ in Italy.

In a concentrated and intensive study that spanned the methods employed by Masters from the Renaissance to the 19th century, only through a commitment to long days of intense concentration, academic rigor and dedication, did I cultivate an ability to represent the subtleties of natural phenomena such as light, form, space and human anatomy that breathe life into the paper or canvas.

Driven and guided by a spirit of discipline and virtuosity, I cultivated a visually rooted language that breathes a similar life into my creations, infusing them with a timeless quality - in order to make paintings that tell timeless stories.
